Born in Mesquite, Texas, Derrick Krone began his soccer journey at the age of four, playing in recreational leagues throughout the Dallas metroplex. He later transitioned to club soccer, representing Texans and FC Dallas, where he excelled under the guidance of top-level coaches. Derrick’s impressive youth career earned him opportunities at the collegiate level, playing for Tyler Junior College and Richland College. In 2016, he stepped onto the semi-professional stage in the National Premier Soccer League, representing Dallas City FC and Tyler FC. His standout performances garnered recognition, leading to an international tour in Spain, where he further honed his skills.Inspired to advance his career, Derrick secured his first professional contract in Queensland, Australia. He played for Murwillumbah FC and Burleigh FC in the Gold Coast Premier League (3rd tier), achieving back-to-back successful seasons. His achievements earned him a spot with Gold Coast United in the National Premier League (2nd tier). Alongside his playing career, Derrick embraced a leadership role as Technical Director for Mount Tamborine Eagles Soccer Club, solidifying his impact both on and off the field.Upon returning to the United States, Derrick joined Foro Sports Club, making two appearances in the United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) National Championship, with one culminating in a National Championship victory. Currently, Derrick plays in the MASL for the Texas Outlaws, combining his professional playing career with coaching. He serves as the assistant coach for the women’s soccer program at Eastfield College and is a Head Coach at Renegades Soccer Club.
